Our art shuttle network
The foundation of IAS' domestic transport reach is our art shuttle network. This network connects Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Brisbane and North Queensland, with services extending through regional centres. Our transport shuttles operate on fixed schedules using only IAS owned vehicles, IAS employed drivers and fully trained art handlers. This means visibility, reliability and that you will always know your precious item is in safe hands from start to finish.

Through a constant process of research and development we devise and produce bespoke art handling equipment to address new problems or complex movements. Our national fleet includes every conceivable vehicle type, from nimble 1 tonne vans for city moves and small works all the way up to our 12-tonne climate-controlled exhibition trucks or semi-trailers for oversized crates, items and sculptures.

Custom built vehicles are used to transport your art in ideal environmental conditions maintaining 21°C and 50% relative humidity, alongside non-climate-controlled services.
Purpose-built facilities in all major Australian cities for short- and long-term requirements. Your items will only ever be in IAS custody while in transit and our vehicles remain secured within our facilities overnight.
How It Works
Our team of skilled operational staff assess your art, destination and timing, then recommend a scheduled shuttle service or tailored transport solution. Our specialist team coordinates collection, packing, handling, storage where required, and delivery at your chosen time.
Each piece of art receives a unique identification code ensuring its whereabouts is known and tracked throughout its time in our care. Our telematics systems allow GPS satellite tracking, providing visibility of vehicle locations during ground transport so we always have eyes on your precious items while it's in our care.
