Overview

IAS believes community engagement is about making a practical contribution to the communities and industries in which we operate.

Through this initiative, we aim to create practical opportunities for artists, galleries, community organisations and charitable causes while reducing unnecessary waste from our operations.

How it works

IAS integrates community engagement into the way we conduct our business.

We identify opportunities to support emerging artists, regional galleries, cultural organisations and community initiatives through sponsorship, in-kind assistance, material reuse and charitable contributions.

Our approach is flexible and project-specific, allowing us to direct support where it can have the greatest practical benefit.

This includes:

  1. 01

Supporting Australian arts and cultural organisations through practical logistics assistance

  2. 02

Engaging local businesses and suppliers where appropriate and commercially practical

Our approach is based on practical participation and genuine contribution.

IAS actively looks for opportunities where our existing resources, expertise and industry relationships can provide value to the community. Rather than treating community engagement as a separate corporate activity, we incorporate it into our day-to-day operations.

Emerging artists

For emerging artists, this can include sponsorship of art prizes, provision of freight assistance and support that helps artists move, exhibit and promote their work.

Material reuse

We recognise that many of the materials used in specialist logistics can have a useful second life. Where materials remain suitable for reuse, IAS may donate packing materials and other resources to artists and regional galleries, helping reduce waste while providing practical resources to organisations that may otherwise have limited access to them.

Charitable fundraising

We also support charitable fundraising through the donation of art for auction, including contributions to Big Brothers Big Sisters Australia, helping turn our connections within the arts sector into broader community benefit.

Indigenous participation

As an Indigenous-owned and Supply Nation certified business, we also seek opportunities to increase Indigenous participation and engage Australian and local suppliers within our operations.
